UNESCO / UNITWIN 3rd Conference on Gastronomy and Tourism
Barcelona, Spain

CHARTS Project Coordinator Mr. Manos Vougioukas and project Communication Manager Ms. Ieva Treija participated at the 3rd International Conference UNESCO UNITWIN Network "Culture, Tourism, Development" Tourism and Gastronomy Heritage: Foodscapes, Gastroregions and Gastronomy Tourism.

 

This event was officially supported by CHART project as one of the good practice of project is on local products and gastronomy. Project Coordinator presented CHARTS with its results and achievements and Good Practice of project on Gastronomy to participants from all the World. Mr. Jordi Tresseras, project partner from University of Barcelona presented Catalan culinary heritage safeguarding project as a method/proposal in order to include Catalan Cuisine in the UNESCO Best Practice Register of Safeguarding Immaterial Cultural Heritage. Catalan experience will be transferred to South Pelion in order to safeguard Pelion Cuisine in Greece.
